Creatures Habitat is a home-grown, mixed-age learning environment in northeast/central Austin where children, ages 3 to 6, explore the world through play. With ample time outdoors each day, children develop an understanding of the inner-connectedness of living beings and learn about the cycles of nature.
Our mission is to provide a creative and loving child-centered environment where children are free to imagine, create, and work as they please. The outdoor classroom provides a space to explore art and construction projects. The indoor classroom reflects the Reggio-Emilia and Montessori methods, with a child-directed work period and an emphasis on the expression through the arts and imaginative play. Parents and community members are encouraged to contribute talents and ideas to add to the richness of our time together. We invite you to join the adventure as our habitat unfolds!
Creatures Habitat meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am-12:30PM.
